but we recommend one in particular, the Institut de Français
at Villefranche-sur-Mer on the French Riviera.
The Institut de
Français is efficiently organized with remarkably
high teaching standards.
In our experience few travel brochures honestly describe relevant
accomodation standards and activities offered. But the illustrated
brochure from the Institut de Français, 23

strictly accurate.
It is noteworthy that after
the first day not one word of English is spoken during each 8-hour
day. This feat is achieved by a staff of highly trained, professional
teachers who can tailor their vocabulary and their diction to the
students' level. Two or three students in our course spoke absolutely
no French upon arrival, but so skilled were the teachers that they
could understand all instructions and explanations, and quickly acquired
sufficient knowledge to handle the twice daily meals, when only French
was spoken at the table..."
